Never worked with a Travel Agent before?

It's always the first question, so let's get it out of the way first...... My services are FREE to you!  

I am an independent Agent, working for all travel suppliers, commissioned by whichever supplier your vacation is booked with.    This gives me the freedom to show you a plethora of resorts, cruises, hotels, tours, excursions, and other activities.  These resorts are all competing for my attention, through special rates, sales, promotions, perks and packaging options not available to the general public.  This gives you a wide range of vacation options and budgets to choose from.   Loyal to a certain special brand?  No problem, I’ll be happy to help you find the best vacation value within that brand of your choice. Going to Grandma’s for the weekend and need a nearby hotel?  Yep, I can help you with that too.  There’s no too big or too small, if you’re traveling, I’m here to help you get the best value, least stress, and 

most enjoyment from your trip. 

It's me, Jen!   I'm from southern coastal VA, right in-between Williamsburg and VA Beach.  Here boating is the local pastime, the freedom, the salt air, and of course, all the yummy seafood.  My hobbies are showing fancy felines and endurance riding.  The latter encouraged me to be an advocate and avid volunteer preserving our local trails.  Occupationally, I served in several capacities and retired from the Emergency Services side of Public Safety.   Back on point, TRAVEL!  Simply, I’m an explorer. Endurance riding, is in essence spending many hours in the untamed wilderness, never knowing what’s around the next bend in the trail.  It made me realize how much I enjoy being somewhere different, doing something different, seeing something different.  Our first big “far away” trip was to Disney, (yes, we started small!) after that amazing experience I was hooked. We were then off to any and every island in the Caribbean that we could find a way to.  We’ve done big name resorts, itty bitty resorts, big name hotel chains, mom-n-pop hotels, VRBO/Airbnb, cruises and lots of in-betweens.  Planes, trains, ships, subways, ubers, taxis, water taxis, ferries, mules, and most frequently my woefully tired two feet.  Yep, I’m that gal, your super annoying friend that can’t sit still and must see e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g there is to see = Always In Motion! 

But why?

We love to travel, and of course, talk way too much about past trips and plans for the next one.   A friend told me years ago: "You're the only person I've ever seen that couldn't wait to see someone else's vacation photos!"  So true, I'm guilty of that, I love adventures, everyone's adventures, and I want all the details!  Family, friends and coworkers soon asked me for advice with their vacation ideas and I found I absolutely love helping others plan and get the most from their vacations.  When contemplating retirement and my next chapter, that infamous little light bulb popped up over my head. I took the plunge and here I am, ready to help you

Knowledge and value! You’ve heard the word value a lot here, but what exactly does it mean?  I am a value shopper; getting the best deal, the most out of a dollar, is my goal.  In vacations price doesn’t always equal value though - you have to look into the details.  What’s included at that higher price?  Is it something you need that you’d have to purchase separately if you booked at a lower price point option?  Or does that pricier option include something you’ve always wanted to see or do?  Often the answer to that question is a very individual one.  My job is to give you all the options that apply to your trip criteria so you can review and decide which option has the most value for your vacation. More on value.  Agents have direct access to booking engines, special rates, unpublished sales, and promo codes.  The worst you’re going to pay with an Agent is the price you see on a public booking engine.  Nearly every trip we can provide you with a better price point. More on knowledge.  I’ve done extensive training with all major brands and specific island tourism boards.  If there’s a question I can’t answer, there’s a channel to get that information quickly.  We have direct access phone lines to all major travel suppliers.  We also have access to supplier agent only websites, webinars, databases, peer inspections, and reviews. 

Anywhere!  Really!  If you can dream it, I can find a vacation plan for it.  Challenge accepted.

Questions I’m going to ask you: 

• Where are you thinking?     -It can be as vague as “the beach” or as specific as “Atlantis”. 
• When are you thinking?     - Again, it can be vague or specific, or you can ask me when a great time is to visit your intended destination.  
• What activities do you/your family enjoy?     -Again, vague or specific, or you can ask me what “the thing to do is” at that destination.  Sometimes your favorite activity, something like scuba diving or horseback riding on the beach, may dictate the destination or resort.    
• How long?     -Days, a week, weeks, month?  I can work around your busy schedule.  
• What makes you happy on vacation?     -Beach time?  Clear water? Mountains?  Wildlife?  Someone else doing all the cooking?  No highway/jet noise?  Sleeping to the sound of waves crashing? 
• What is your budget?     -Be honest with yourself and me, I want you to get the absolute most vacation within the budget you set.  Don’t aim too high and have anxiety ahead of that trip or aim too low and feel you wished you’d spent the extra and chose something a bit more.  A lot of vacation satisfaction is not only having a fabulous trip, but feeling it was money well spent.
