DAY 1 Depart for the Netherlands
DAY 2 Arrive in Amsterdam
Day at leisure.
DAY 3 Amsterdam City Tour
700-year-old Amsterdam! View the port that serviced the East India Company during the Golden Age. See the former Jewish quarter with its 17th century Portuguese Synagogue, and National Holocaust Names Memorial. Pass by the 19th century neighborhood with its classic architecture, museums, and lively squares. Cruise in a glass-top boat, thru winding canals for view of the stately historic homes, 16th century warehouses, and charming churches with striking bell towers. Head north to the Museum Mill. Visit an authentic windmill, see how it works, meet the miller. Travel to Edam, known for its famed cheese. See the leaning Carillon tower, the 15th century Grote Kerk, and town hall. Tour a traditional Dutch cheese farm to learn how the cheeses are made!
DAY 4, Bruges City Tour
Depart Amsterdam, travelling through Holland's open fields, crisscrossed with canals and windmills, to Bruges, known as the "Venice of the North," and home to some of Europe's best-preserved medieval buildings. Tour of Bruges' medieval district with its charming squares and historic buildings. The walking tour includes Lake of Love (Minnewater), the Beguinage Convent, the Market Square and Belfry, and a stop at Town Hall Square to see the Chapel of the Holy Blood. View Our Lady's Church, which houses the famous Madonna statue by Michelangelo.
DAY 5, Travel to Paris
Depart Bruges and travel to Paris. Ship embarkation begins at 2 PM. After arrival formalities, time to relax on board.
DAY 6, Arrive in Conflans, Auvers-Sur-Oise
The ship docks in Conflans this morning. Embark on a tour of the quaint town of Auvers-sur-Oise, and learn about Van Gogh's troubled life. View Ravoux Inn, where he rented a room, and spent the final months of his life. During his time in Auvers-sur-Oise, Van Gogh was very prolific and painted over 70 works. View the cemetery where he is buried, then return to the ship for lunch. This afternoon perhaps, join the optional tour to magnificent Versailles to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture
DAY 7, Les Andelys
Arrive at Les Andelys and enjoy an informative presentation on Château Gaillard. Disembark and head up to Château Gaillard, built by Richard the Lionheart. Explore the grounds and admire the panoramic views of the Seine, and of the charming town at the foot of the hill before returning to the ship. On board, attend a lecture on the life of Joan of Arc.
DAY 8, Caudebec
Spend the day at leisure in the quaint town of Caudebec. Take a stroll along the riverfront promenade and continue to the historic center. Admire the intricate carvings in the entranceway and the ornate bell tower of the 15th century Gothic church of Notre-Dame. Perhaps, join the optional full day tour to Normandy Beaches. Immerse yourself into World War II history during this tour. View Utah Beach, and then make a stop at the Ranger Memorial at Pointe du Hoc. Continue east to visit Omaha Beach and the site of the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. The cemetery covers 172.5 acres and contains the graves of 9,387 American soldiers.
DAY 9, Rouen
This morning, continue sailing toward Rouen, or join the optional Half Day Honfleur. Discover the historic city of Honfleur. View Vieux Bassin, the old harbor with its half-timbered houses, and colorful boats, Church of Saint-Etienne, Sainte-Catherine Church, built entirely out of wood, and the Lieutenancy, an ancient medieval fortification. Conclude the tour with a tasting of local cider and fresh crepes. After lunch on board, take a walking tour of the medieval quarter of Rouen. View the Gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral that inspired Claude Monet to paint the cathedral series, and the famous Gros Horloge, a 16th century astronomical clock. Walk through the cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered storybook houses and view the courthouse and the Market Square where Joan of Arc was martyred.
DAY 10, Vernon, Giverny
Arrive in Vernon this morning and disembark the ship for your excursion to Giverny*, home of Claude Monet, one of the world's greatest impressionist painters. Walk through the famous gardens that inspired many of his masterpieces, including his famous "water lilies" series of paintings. In the afternoon, free time to discover Vernon, before you set sail for Paris.
DAY 11, Panoramic Tour of Paris
Begin the day in Paris, the City of Light, with a panoramic tour, including a drive along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe. View the iconic Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, the Latin Quarter, and the lively Opera district. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or join the optional half day tour to Montmartre. Explore Montmartre with its bohemian vibe. View the Moulin Rouge and walk along the winding lanes to mingle with street artists selling their wares at Place du Tertre. Spectacular views of the city await you from the steps of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica.
DAY 12, Disembarkation, Louvre Museum
This morning, after disembarkation, visit the incomparable Louvre*, one of the world's most famous museums. Of the many exhibitions found therein, view the medieval fortress, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace and the museum's most reputed masterpiece, Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this fascinating city on your own.
DAY 13, Full Day in Paris
Spend the day at leisure or join the optional Champagne region tour. Travel to the heart of the Champagne region, which is famous for the sparkling white wine that bears its name. Arrive in the historic city of Reims and visit its cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the soaring spires, striking stained-glass windows, and intricate stone carvings. Famous as the traditional coronation site of France's kings, the cathedral offers a glimpse into centuries of history. Next, drive along the elegant Avenue de Champagne, in Epernay, home to many of the world's most celebrated Champagne houses. Visit one of the wine cellars to learn more about the champagne process and savor tastings of this expensive delight.

DAY 2, Monday - Arrive in Amsterdam
Arrive in Amsterdam and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. Your tour begins with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM
DAY 3, Tuesday - Amsterdam Canal Tour
This morning, board a glass-top boat for a cruise of the winding canals of historic Amsterdam** for an up-close view of stately historic mansions, 16th century gabled merchant houses, and charming churches with bell towers. The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps join the optional Keukenhof Gardens Tour. Explore the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens, the largest and most spectacular flower gardens in the world, or the optional tour of traditional Holland that includes a visit to Volendam, a charming fishing village on the old Zuiderzee. Then, visit a cheese farm and view a historic windmill. Finally, have dinner in a charming Dutch restaurant
DAY 4, Wednesday - Brussels City Tour, Travel to Bruges
Travel through Holland's open fields, crisscrossed with canals and windmills to reach Belgium. Arriving to the capital city of Brussels, take an orientation tour with views of the Atomium, the Royal Palace, the historical district, and the Palace of Justice. Stroll the city center to view the famous Manneken Pis fountain and 17th century Grand Place with its decorated guild houses. Next, journey to the city of Bruges, also known as the "Venice of the North", home to some of Europe's best-preserved medieval buildings. In the afternoon*, walk along the cobbled lanes of the city's medieval district to Our Lady's Church, housing the famous Madonna statue by Michelangelo. Continue past the Market Square with its 13th century Belfry, one of Bruges' most famous landmarks, and the Town Hall Square with its Chapel of the Holy Blood. Tonight, dinner is in a local restaurant
DAY 5, Thursday - Travel to Paris
Depart Bruges and travel to Paris where you will have the evening at leisure, or you can join the optional Evening in Paris with dinner. Discover the "City of Light" at night, and savor dinner in a typical French bistro
DAY 6, Friday - Paris City Tour
Drive along the impressive Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, Concorde Square, and the stately Eiffel Tower, symbol of Paris**. On to the celebrated "Rive Gauche", the vivacious Left Bank, where artists, philosophers and writers in a long-gone era flourished in the artistic community at Montparnasse. View the Latin Quarter, home to many of France's higher education establishments, including the Sorbonne. Following the city tour, spend the rest of the day at leisure or join the optional tour to the magnificent Palace of Versailles*. The tour takes you to the opulent Palace of Versailles to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Step inside the sumptuous palace and visit the extravagant state apartments including a guided visit to the Reception Halls, the Royal Bedroom, and the Hall of Mirrors. Free time for lunch on your own in one of the on-site cafes
DAY 7, Saturday - Full Day in Paris
Today is at leisure in Paris. Don't miss the optional Full Day Monet's House & Garden Tour. Take a guided tour of Monet's house and gardens in Giverny, where the master impressionist lived and worked for more than 40 years. Explore the artist's charming pink home, thoughtfully preserved with period furnishings, personal belongings, and vibrant interiors that reflect his artistic eye. Stroll through the colorful flower gardens and iconic water-lily pond that inspired many of Monet's most famous masterpieces
DAY 8, Sunday - Travel to London via the Chunnel
Transfer to the Gare du Nord train station for your trip to London via the Chunnel, a 31-mile-long underwater tunnel. Upon arrival, meet your coach and guide to start your panoramic tour of London. Begin with a drive through the city center and proceed to view Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and the famous Big Ben. Continue to view Buckingham Palace, the London residence of His Majesty the King
DAY 9, Monday - Day in London
Spend the day at leisure to explore London. You may return to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard, visit the British Museum, take a ride on the London Eye, visit Madame Tussauds, the National Gallery, or take in a West End show. This morning, perhaps join the optional tour of the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral*. Tonight, at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
